CircleClick Media has merged mgPetersen and Ward Consulting into its operations. Clients looking to generate business on the web now have an experienced community of experts who understand the intricacies of SEO and lead generation.

We are a group of professional web developers, internet marketers, start up entrepeneurs and seasoned project leaders. Our experience dates back almost 20 years.

A quick tour about how we got here:

Using a mac and an AOL connection, one of our founders, Mark Petersen, connected to the web. It felt like a big deal at the time.

1992

 

1997

Anne Ward, another founder, purchases her first domain and creates her first web page. AskJeeves.com started

Mark is a Director of IT for a national marketing company and Anne creates her first weblog. DMOZ, Google, Lycos and MSN started. SEO meant just submitting your site to search engines at this point

1998

 

1999

Mark creates a startup that aims to give everyone one free web page. Anne's first start-up job as an html editor and graphic designer. Wifi dream becomes a reality. A programmer named Peter Merholz shortens the term "Weblog" to "blog". Y2K bug scare.

Google Adwords begins. Yahoo! web search now powered by Google.

2002

Mark creates a startup that aims to let business owners build quality websites with no technical expertise. Ward Consulting is founded.

Mgpetersen is created as web development consulting company. Anne joins Apple Computer's education marketing web development team. MySpace launches, Yahoo! launches local search engine. Google goes IPO (GOOG) NASDAQ.

2005

SEO and PPC search engine marketing become a serious part of the design and service strategy of Mgpetersen. Anne enters the field of SEO/SEM as Search Marketing Director of a touch screen company in Austin, TX.

MSN launches Live Search, Digg gets bigg. Blackhat SEOs start getting busted. Google removes BMW Germany and Ricoh Germany for deceptive practices.

2007

Founders of CircleClick meet at an SEO agency in Austin, Texas. Facebook goes main stream. Anne moves to NYC.

Ward consulting grows and expands its operation to New York, Texas, and California.

Mgpetersen and Ward combine operations and clients together to create CircleClick Media

CircleClick's growing marketing client base sparks a new strategic direction, web-based internet marketing software for small to large businesses.
